SM Markets opens stores in developing communities

What: SM focuses on a strategic expansion plan of adding seven SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket and Savemore stores to bring better food shopping to developing Filipino regions and communities.

Why it is important: SM is also expanding its imported offerings including adding El Corte Inglés’ brand to its assortment.

SM Markets are expecting the holidays and the ongoing return to in-person work and classes post-pandemic to bring a boost to consumer spending which has already been visible in increased sales of fresh food products, snacks, beverages and school-related commodities.
