Modaes reported on an IADS press release finding that affordable luxury now leads women's fashion floors at major department stores, accounting for 31% of the category versus 22% for mid-to-high-end brands and 21% for advanced contemporary fashion. IADS members' bestsellers recur across markets, from Sandro, Maje, Max Mara and Self-Portrait in contemporary to Victoria Beckham, Ami Paris and Jacquemus higher up, while online's share of women's fashion sales rose to 22% in 2025 from 20% the year before.
