Takashimaya to turn around Asian stores

An article in the Nikkei Asian review reports that Takashimaya of Japan is looking to double its profit from overseas stores within 4 years. The company recently changed its mind on closing its Shanghai store. Its goal now is turning that store around as well as those in Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City. The aim is for annual operating profit to reach 11 billion yen (($1.55 bn) in the fiscal year ending February 2024, compared to 3.9 bn yen last year.
