JC Penney former CEO, Ron Johnson, said that the problem for department stores was not in size, location of physical capabilities, but in their "lack of imagination - products they carry, store environments, the way they engage their customers, how they embrace the digital future".


Neighborhood Goods, a chain from Texas, US, listened to that statement and has opened in less than 3 years three locations based on putting local community first, proposing a strong and powerful rotation of products and brands, to ultimately become the reason to come, visit and shop.
