Marui accepts Bitcoin

Marui department store in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is trialling bitcoin payments until 31 October 2017.  It is fixing an upper limit of $900. It is working in partnership with cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer. A number of Japanese retailers are showing an increasing interest in cryptocurrency, one that finds them out of step with their international peers. While the number of retailers accepting bitcoin in Europe and the US is declining, it is increasing in Japan with Marui following electronics seller Bic Camera earlier in the year.
