The Japanese fashion chain Lumine will open its first outlet outside Japan in Singapore in November. It will occupy 10 000 sq ft in Clarke Quay Central. Founded in 1966, Lumine is described as a premium lifestyle-destination store with 16 stores around Japan including Shinjuku and Ikebukuro in Tokyo. Some commentators claim that Clarke Quay is more about F&B and nightlife, while others feel that the Lumine presence will strengthen the position of the mall as a Japanese one and complement the offer.
