Lifetime achievement awards
The first Isidoro Alvarez Lifetime Achievement Awards, given at this year's World Retail Congress in Madrid, were presented to Jorge Pont, International Director at El Corte Ingles, and Gilbert Harrison, founder and chairman of investment firm Financo. The award is named after former chairman and chief executive of El Corte Ingles, who recruited Jorge Pont in 1965. The awards were presented by Marta Alvarez, daughter of Isidoro.
