What: Frasers Group has announced its intention to return to the Financial Times Stock Exchange 100 Index after six years, leaving the FTSE 250 Index.

Why it is important: After dropping out in 2016 due to a period of poor financial performance, the retailer has made a series of acquisitions and takeovers that have pushed the company back into the 100 Index.

The group is currently working on rebranding the company through a transformation strategy to elevate its brand under the new CEO Michael Murray.
