The Fitch rating agency has increased the rating of El Corte Ingles from BB to BB+. According to Fitch, the improvement in its valuation is a consequence of the right business strategy, a positive reduction of debt and financial flexibility. It is in line to reach the next level BBB- in less than a year and a half. The new rating will allow the group to continue diversifying and cheapening its financial sources.
