Bergfreunde will continue to operate independently from Decathlon's core business, maintaining its organizational and operational detachment. The management team, represented by Matthias Gebhard and Ronny Höhn, will remain unchanged following the acquisition. The purchase agreement was executed on November 24, 2023, and publicly disclosed on November 27, 2023.

No changes are anticipated in the management or operational structure of Bergfreunde as it becomes integrated with Decathlon.
