Hudson's Bay has disclosed that it was the victim of a security breach that compromised data on payment cards used at Saks Fifth Avenue in the US and Canada and Lord & Taylor stores.  Some reports mention millions of cards but neither exact numbers nor precise timing have been confirmed by the company yet. JokerStash which sells stolen data on the criminal underground has said that over 5 million stolen credit cards would be released.

So far around 125 000 have been and some 75% of those appear to have been taken from the Hudson's Bay units. JokerStash has been active in hacking retail and hospitality companies for some three years.
