At a recent NRF conference, former White House CIO, TV star and company founder Theresa Payton argued that individuals and companies should be proactive about protecting themselves online. As we get better at it, attackers work harder to get in. After the breaches and leaks last year and this, she says that "a small investment in security can really go a long way". There are too many outdated systems and authentification methods being used, and combining investigative techniques with new technology can protect businesses without sacrificing convenience for consumers.
